What Is This Bursary About?

Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, formerly MMI Holdings Limited (MMI), is a South African-based provider of financial services. For the academic year 2023, Momentum Metropolitan is seeking students to apply for their bursary program.

Who Can Apply

Bursaries will be given for studies in actuarial science, with the following requirements:

  • BBus Science Actuarial Science
  • BCom Actuarial Science
  • BSc Actuarial Science
  • BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics

Before applying, candidates must meet the minimum admission requirements listed below (please note that if you do not meet all of the requirements, your application will not be considered):

  • You must be a resident of South Africa.
  • You must be a Matric graduate.
  • One of the above-mentioned Actuarial Science degrees must be pursued full-time.
  • You must have finished your first academic year and attained a minimum grade point average of 70%.
  • You must be enrolled in a tertiary institution in South Africa that is recognized and approved.
  • You must be passionate about math.

What Does This Bursary Cover?

The following costs will be covered by the scholarship: annual registration fees, tuition fees, food, lodging, a stipend for required textbooks, a travel allowance, and a pocket allowance.

Additionally, students will benefit from mentor support, academic and social support, and the chance to participate in summer employment.

Bursaries are given out for a period of one year at a time, and they are evaluated yearly depending on satisfactory academic progress.
