- At the time of application, you must be a South African citizen.
- You must be between the ages of 18 and 25.

- You must be studying or have been admitted to study at a recognized institution.
- Must have a minimum overall average of 65% in Matric or current year of study.
- Must not be receiving funding from any other bursaries or scholarships, including NSFAS. Must meet all tertiary education program criteria.
