Vodacom Bursary Programme 2026

Applications for the Vodacom Bursary Programme open on 1 June 2025. This academic merit bursary is available to full-time first, second, or third-year students studying or intending to study in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, who may lack the resources to further their studies. The programme aims to support academic excellence and empower talented students to succeed in their chosen careers.

The Vodacom Bursary provides comprehensive financial and developmental support, including:

  • Capped amount for private accommodation.
  • Full registration and tuition.
  • Textbook allocation.
  • Meal allowance.

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens by birth.
  • Undertake full-time undergraduate studies at a South African tertiary institution.
  • Pass Grade 12 with exemption and obtain 70% or higher in all subjects.
  • Achieve a minimum 65% average (if in first year of tertiary studies or above).
  • Be enrolled at an accredited South African tertiary institution and meet all criteria above.

Applications for the 2025 intake are closed. The 2026 intake opens on 1 June 2025. Applicants are encouraged to apply early.

When applications open, eligible candidates can register and apply online via Vodacom’s bursary application platform. After applying, candidates will receive confirmation of receipt, and the Bursary Management team will assess applications and provide feedback throughout the process.
