About the Bursary
Polokwane Municipality External Bursary 2026 provides financial support to eligible students pursuing accredited programmes at public universities, universities of technology or TVET colleges.
The initiative is designed to grow critical and scarce skills, expand access to higher education for deserving youth, and strengthen service delivery within the relevant province or municipality.
Eligibility & Minimum Requirements
- South African citizens who are residents within Polokwane Municipality.
- Full‑time study at a public University, University of Technology or TVET College.
- Meet the minimum academic requirements of the intended programme.
What the Bursary Covers
Per municipal policy; refer to the official form and bursary committee guidelines. Awards are not automatically renewed and may be reduced if amounts exceed prescribed fees.
Closing Date
Closing date: 5 December 2025. Late or incomplete applications are not accepted.
How to Apply
Download and complete the External Bursary Application Form. Submit to the City Manager at the Civic Centre (9th Floor, Offices 905/903) or by post to P.O. Box 111, Polokwane 0700, with all certified documents attached as listed on the application form.
