About the sponsor
The Oppenheimer Memorial Trust is a South African trust that supports scholarship and advanced study through competitive awards. Scholarships are made at the discretion of the Trustees and are aimed at candidates with a strong academic record who intend to pursue careers in academia, research, development or related fields.
Eligibility criteria

- Arrange referees early — references are completed online and your submission cannot be considered unless the required references are submitted.
What it covers
OMT awards are not necessarily full-cost and may vary depending on circumstances. Applicants are expected to provide a realistic budget and to pursue co-funding where possible. The Master’s/Doctoral guidelines note that direct research or project-related costs are not covered by OMT (see guidelines for details).
