What it covers

PwC lists two main bursary support routes: an academic achievement award, which is a fixed amount including a book allowance paid to the university towards tuition, and a tuition and/or accommodation bursary. For students with very high financial need, PwC may also cover a percentage of accommodation costs and a once-off living allowance.

Eligibility

  • Must be committed to studying towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification
  • Matriculants must intend to study full-time at a SAICA-accredited institution
  • Matriculants need at least a B-symbol for Mathematics and English and an overall average of 75%; Maths Literacy is not accepted
  • University students must be studying full-time towards a CA qualification at a SAICA-accredited institution
  • First- and second-year students need an average of at least 70%
  • Third- and fourth-year students need an average of at least 65% and must qualify for honours according to the relevant university requirements
  • PwC does not fund bridging courses used to enter a SAICA-accredited qualification
