What Is This Bursary About?

Yoshiomi Tamai founded Ashinaga after losing her mother in a car accident, and the organization has provided emotional and financial assistance to youngsters all over the world who have lost one or both of their parents.

In 2014, the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) was founded. Since its establishment, AAI has assisted over 110,000 orphaned students.

The company’s goal is to give financial aid to eligible and meritorious students pursuing undergraduate degree studies at overseas universities.

For the forthcoming academic year, AAI is seeking students to engage in the Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) Leadership Programme.

AAI offers scholarships to students wishing to study at overseas universities. The initiative primarily targets kids from Sub-Saharan African nations who have lost one or both parents.

Students that are chosen must return to Sub-Saharan Africa to actively participate in development, transformation, and innovation.

Ashinaga will organize the Ashinaga Study Camp, which will choose the student’s country of study.

The choice will be based on academic performance, language requirements, visa constraints, and available study courses in the country.

Accommodation, transport, tuition, and other necessary expenses will be covered by the Leadership Programme (including Preparation and Study Camp).

There are three stages to the program:

Preparation and Study Camp: Selected students will be required to attend a study camp in Senegal/Uganda, where they will get support in preparing for their studies abroad.

The program also includes university application (to Europe, Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom), leadership development, and career preparation.

The training camp will prepare students for the different disparities they would face when studying overseas, and students will be able to enroll in institutions in 2024.

During University: The program will cover all of your expenses while studying overseas.

Students must engage in internships (in their native country or Sub-Saharan Africa) and Ashinaga leadership development programs.

Following graduation: Applicants must return to their home country In Sub-Saharan Africa and contribute to Africa for a minimum of one year.
