What it covers
The bursary may cover tuition, stationery, books, a personal computer, accommodation and subsistence, up to capped amounts. Final funding terms are confirmed through the bursary award and StudyTrust process.
Eligibility
- Must be a South African citizen
- Must be in Matric, have completed Matric, or be currently studying at tertiary level
- Must study full-time towards an approved undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in 2027
- Must study at a recognised and accredited South African university
- Matric and tertiary academic results should generally be strong, with StudyTrust using academic merit and financial need in selection
- Preference is given to students living with disabilities, although applicants without disabilities may also apply

- Clear head-and-shoulders photograph
- Certified South African ID copy
- Grade 11 final results and latest Matric results, if currently in Matric
- Matric certificate, if already completed
- Full academic record and latest available tertiary results, if currently studying
- Proof of parent/guardian household income
- Parents’ death certificates, divorce or child-support documents where applicable
- Proof of disability, if applicable
