About the scholarship
The scholarship supports students who show academic excellence, leadership, focus and the potential to make a meaningful contribution in their chosen field. Former scholars have pursued a range of disciplines, so applicants are not limited to one narrow field of study.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have attended secondary school in KwaZulu-Natal.
- Applicants must be under the age of 27 at the time of applying.
- Applicants should be studying at a South African university and be either in an Honours degree or in the final year of a four-year undergraduate degree.
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate academic excellence and the potential to be accepted at leading universities in the United Kingdom.
- Evidence of leadership, commitment, extracurricular involvement and impact is important.
