High-value notes (read this first)

Applicants must first apply and pay the normal application fee to study at Emeris. The scholarship application requires the unique Emeris application number generated during the admissions process.

This is a separate 2027 merit-scholarship route from Emeris’s older internal bursaries and awards.

About the sponsor

Emeris is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education, a registered South African private higher-education institution. It brings together the former Varsity College, Vega and IIE MSA brands and offers undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications across several faculties and campuses.

What it covers

Emeris describes the programme as an academic merit scholarship designed to expand access to private higher education. The public scholarship page does not publish one fixed rand value or percentage for all recipients. The final award is communicated to successful applicants in their scholarship offer letters.
