The Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship 2023 is available to South African undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Who Can Apply

The Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship covers the following areas of study:

To apply for the Energy Mobility Education Trust Scholarship, you must meet specific eligibility requirements. If any of the following requirements are not met, your application will be rejected:

  • You must be a South African national.
  • Under the B-BBEE Act, you must be under 40 years old and black.
  • You must be enrolled in one of the above-mentioned disciplines of study.
  • You must be an undergraduate student in your third or final year, or you must be working on your Honours, Master’s, or Ph.D.
  • You must be a student at one of the Trust’s existing scholarship partners: the University of Johannesburg (UJ), the University of Witwatersrand (WITS), the University of Pretoria (UP), or the University of Fort Hare (UFH) (UFH).
  • Your entire annual household income should be no more than R600,000 per year.

  • A certified copy of your identification is required.
  • Your entire Academic Record or Transcript on the letterhead of the school.
  • Fee statement on the institution’s letterhead.
  • Proof of university acceptance or registration on the institution’s letterhead.
  • If you are earning, please provide a certified copy of your income evidence.
  • Certified copy of parents’/guardians’ income proof, such as the most recent payslips if employed, an affidavit if unemployed, and a pension statement if receiving any government pension.
