GWK Bursary 2021-2022

The GWK Bursary is a financial cover scheme established to assist students who wish to pursue a career in the Agricultural sector. GWK’s Bursary invests in the development and training of agricultural support and careers.

Aimed at innovation, GWK has become a leading entity within the agribusiness sector and continues to improve lives in the process. Their bursary is aimed toward bringing eager and innovative minds into the Agricultural sector.

Closing Date

This Bursary closes on 31 August 2021.

Successful applicants will be contacted by GWK on or before 31 October of each year. If you have not received any feedback from GWK within this timeframe, consider your application unsuccessful.

These career fields maintain the functionality of these sectors and constantly find ways to innovate and grow them. GWK considers this an important responsibility as the country’s farmers must continue with their production and establish seamless trading channels throughout.

Who Can Apply GWK Bursary?

If you are looking to pursue a career in Agriculture through the listed fields above, then you are eligible to apply for GWK’s Bursary. This bursary applies to all undergraduates, and applicants will have to meet the following criteria to be considered for the GWK Bursary:

  • The applicant must have and maintain a good academic record.
  • The applicant must be a South African citizen.
  • Applicants must be studying at a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Applicants must be studying or will be in one of the listed fields. 

What does the GWK Bursary Cover?

Successful applicants will have the following covered through the GWK Bursary:

  • Registration Fees.
  • Tuition.
  • Pre-scribed books.

Please note that if there are no vacancies available at GWK, then the bursary will be converted into a loan. This will be required to be paid back to GWK.

Please make sure to complete all relevant fields on this form and provide the necessary information requested. Failure to do so will result in your application being disregarded for selection. You will need to have supporting documents submitted with your application. Please be aware that these documents are compulsory in the application process. If any are missing, your application will not be considered for selection.

The supporting documents are as follows:

  • A certified copy of your ID
  • A certified copy of your latest exam results.
  • Information about your course
  • Information about all related fees in your course
  • An updated CV

Once you have submitted your application with the requested documents. GWK will make contact to notify you if your application was successful in the selection process. GWK will make contact on or before 31 October annually.
