Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate or postgraduate studies, within the following fields:

- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Information Engineering
- Information Technology
- Mechanical Engineering
Before applying, applicants must meet the following minimum entrance criteria (please note that failure to meet all requirements may result in your application being rejected):
- You must be a citizen of South Africa.
- You must be pursuing a full-time education in one of the disciplines indicated above.
- In 2023, you must be in your second, third, or final year of study, or at the Honours or Masters level.
- You must be enrolled at a South African higher institution.
- A minimum overall average of 65% is required.
- You must not have any other sources of funding.
- You must be enthusiastic about a career in engineering and technology.
- You must be eager to make an impact in the telecommunications business.
What Does This Bursary Cover?
The bursary will cover the following costs: registration fees, tuition fees, textbooks, lodging, meals, and a stipend.
Bursary awardees will be obliged to attend the Huawei Graduate Program after graduation. Students will also gain an introduction to networking.
