This program is designed to support students from under-resourced backgrounds who are passionate about making a meaningful contribution to South Africa’s economy. The bursary offers holistic support to matriculants entering their first year of university in 2026.

What Is This Bursary Program?
The Changeblazers Bursary is a full-cost bursary that covers:
- Tuition fees
- University accommodation
- Meals
- Learning materials
- Private tutoring
- Career guidance
- Resilience and mental health training
- Financial wellbeing support
Additionally, top-performing final-year students may receive:
- Driver’s license support
- A graduation gift to help prepare for the workplace
Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be under the age of 21 in 2026
- Intend to study full-time at a South African university in one of the eligible fields
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Show leadership qualities
- Have preferably obtained at least 70% for English and Mathematics or Science in Grade 11
- Demonstrate financial need (family income typically less than R600,000 p.a.; mitigating circumstances will be considered)
- Meet the minimum entrance requirements for their chosen qualification
Eligible Fields of Study
The bursary supports first-year students enrolling in the following fields:
- Business, Finance and Economics
- Technology & Computer Science
- Engineering
- Healthcare (excluding medicine, dentistry, and veterinary science)
- Psychology
- Education
