- Must live in a community adjacent to a South African national park
- Must be entering post-Matric study in 2027
- Must have applied or been admitted to an accredited public South African university, university of technology, college or TVET college
- Must be studying full-time towards an approved diploma, degree or technical qualification
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old
- Total household income must not exceed R350,000 per year
- Currently registered applicants must meet the academic-performance requirement stated by SANParks
