The Valterra Platinum Community Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year, aimed at supporting learners and students from Valterra Platinum host communities, is closing shortly. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and bursaries may be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying applicants.

Who can apply?
- Matriculated in 2024 or 2025
- Aged 18–25 (inclusive) as at the closing date
- Currently enrolled in, or accepted into, a full-time programme at a registered higher-education institution (public or private)
- Enrolled in/accepted into a three-year full-time programme (or will complete within three years – no later than December 2028)
- Enrolled in/accepted into a first undergraduate programme only (NQF Level 6 or 7)
- Must live in, or have spent the majority of their school career in schools located within, a Valterra Platinum host community
What it covers
The bursary covers study-related costs including tuition, accommodation and an allowance. The final amount is confirmed per successful applicant and is approved at the trustees’ discretion.
Important notes
- Limited bursaries are available and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Children of Valterra Platinum employees are not eligible.
- The bursary award does not guarantee employment after completing studies.
