About the bursary
The programme supports students who are building careers in technical fields aligned with Jones & Wagener’s consulting engineering work. Selection is based on academic merit, financial need and company-specific considerations.
What the bursary may cover
- At minimum, university tuition fees

- Possible limited textbook allowance
- Paid vacation work exposure at Jones & Wagener offices
- Career-linked work-back period equal to the period for which the bursary was held
Eligibility
- Must be a South African student at a South African university, or a Grade 12 learner applying for university study.
- Must be studying or planning to study BEng / BSc Civil Engineering, Geology, Geochemistry or Environmental studies.
- Applicants with less than 75% in both Mathematics and Physical Science will not be considered.
- Must have a strong academic record and provide clear, recent results.
- Must be willing to do vacation work at Jones & Wagener offices in Rivonia or Centurion if required.
- Successful bursary students must be prepared for the stated work-back obligation after completing their studies.
