Eligibility checklist
- South African citizenship and residence in one of the five beneficiary communities.
- Latest academic average of at least 65%.
- Annual gross household income below R600,000.
- Proof of application, registration, acceptance or provisional acceptance at a recognised public institution.
- Meet the age and study-mode requirements, including the clarification noted above if applicable.

- Certified South African ID and latest results; NSC results where applicable.
- Institution application or admission evidence.
- Recent proof of residence.
- Parent/guardian income evidence and three months’ bank statements; relevant unemployment, grant or family-circumstance evidence.
- Medical evidence where disability is relevant.
The portal specifies certification and recency rules. Use readable, unprotected PDF or image files and follow each upload field’s size limit. Supply evidence for both parents or guardians when both are listed.
