Eligibility criteria
- South African citizen.
- Resident of Kgatelopele or Tsantsabane Local Municipality in the Northern Cape (proof of residence required).
- Age between 18 and 35 years at the time of application.
- Current Matric learner or a student already studying towards an undergraduate qualification.
- Accepted or intending to register at a South African public university or university of technology for the 2026 academic year.
- Good academic performance and strong motivation for your chosen field of study.
- Meets any further criteria stated in the official ACWA Power bursary advert.
Preferred fields of study
The bursary can support any undergraduate field of study, but applicants are encouraged to consider programmes that align with regional development and the energy sector (e.g. engineering, science, commerce, education and health sciences).

- Certified copy of your South African ID.
- Certified copy of your Matric certificate or latest school results.
- Full academic record (for current tertiary students).
- Proof of residence in Kgatelopele or Tsantsabane Local Municipality.
- Proof of household income (payslips, bank statements or affidavits).
- Motivational letter setting out your background, study plans and community involvement.
