Applications are open for the Flyfofa Drone Pilot Bursary Programme (2026 intake). This is a fully funded opportunity for eligible youth in Gauteng to train towards a Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) – Drone Pilot, delivered by Flyfofa Aviation Training in partnership with the National Skills Fund (via DHET).
What the bursary covers
- Remote Pilot Certificate (Drone Pilot) training (fully funded)
- Accommodation (where applicable)
- Monthly stipend/allowance during training
Who can apply?
Eligibility is limited and may be prioritised according to the programme requirements. In general, applicants should:
- Be a South African citizen living in Gauteng
- Typically be between 18–23 years (as per programme targeting)
- Meet the programme’s qualifying criteria (for example Quintile 1–3 schooling and/or SASSA grant-linked criteria where applicable)

15 January 2026 (midnight). Apply as early as possible to avoid last-minute issues.
