The KELE Mining began as a mining consulting company formed in 2007 and converted to contract mining in 2014 and provide a niche contract mining service using mining technology that improves mining safety and productivity. They aim to move to mechanized, autonomous operations.
The Northern Cape continues to be a key focus area with a staff complement that grew from 2 in 2016 to 200 in 2018. Within the BEE framework growth in employee, complement is expected in other regions such as Limpopo and North West.
KMS structure follows a dedicated project team that initiates new projects until operational readiness is achieved. Then the new project is ready to take off into a formal operation structure.
KELE Group Holdings (KGH) offer services to well-known mining companies such as AngloAmerican Kumba Iron Ore, Kudumane Mining Resources, Assmang Limited Khumani, AngloPlatinum, and Sasol.

About This Bursary
The KELE Mining Solutions is offering dedicated students an opportunity for bursary funding in the 2022 academic year. The bursary is available to those who study all fields at any University, University of Technology or Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college.
The companies in the Local Community Development initiatives and Social commitment have made the KELE Bursary opportunity possible for students in financial need.
What does this bursary cover?
The Bursary cover will be determined by financial need on an individual basis. The following will be covered:
- Tuition Fees
- Prescribed Textbooks
- Toolkits (where applicable)
- Accommodation and Meal

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must ensure they meet the required minimum entry criteria before applying for the bursary. Should you not meet the minimum requirements your application will be disregarded. If you do not meet the following requirements, they will not consider your application.
- Currently studying or intend to study toward a qualification or trade in any field
- Must have a strong academic record / results
- Passed a minimum of 60% of your course modules or subjects
- Must be in financial need to study
- Please note preference will be given to children of employees at KELE Mining Solutions, including students from areas where the company operates (Northern Cape)
Applicants must submit clear copies of the following documentation (compulsory), failure to do so will automatically disqualify you for the bursary.
- Certified copy of ID
- Certified copy of latest full academic record / results
- Parents / Guardian to provide proof of income: Last three months payslips (if employed, affidavit if unemployed), proof of pension or grant (if applicable)
- Proof of residence
- Curriculum Vitae
