The SACEE Norah Taylor bursary is available to qualified teachers who want to continue their study in Speech training, Oral Communication, and Teaching of English as a first or second language.
SACEE is the South African Council for English Education and they are a registered Non-Profit organisation. The people working there are mainly volunteers and their goal is to support the learning, teaching and understanding if the English language.
They provide practical ways to individuals and organizations to improve the quality and quantity of English as a spoken language in South Africa.
Who Can Apply for the SACEE Norah Taylor Bursary?
The Norah Taylor bursary is intended for teachers who want to further their study in:
- Speech training
- Oral Communication
- Teaching English as a first or second language
You will also need at least 4 years of teaching experience and a minimum M+3 qualification.
The course you intend to study should be administered at a University or Institution in South Africa. The course can be taken part-time, full-time, or through correspondence.

If you want to apply for this teaching and education bursary, you can download the application form from their website. Last time I checked the form was not online, so you can also download it from here.
