What Is The E.V. Adams Scholarship Programme?

This scholarship program was set up by the well-known law firm, Adams and Adams.

Named after one of its co-founders, Eustace Adams, this scholarship is provided annually to students who show exceptional skills and whom the firm’s executives consider deserving based on their academic scores and financial neediness.

This scholarship’s goal is to assist students along their academic journey to become qualified individuals in the field of law.

Who Can Apply?

The E.V. Adams Scholarship is open to all students studying BA Law, BCom Law, and LLB Law. applicants will also need to meet the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be South African citizens
  • Applicants must be enrolled at a recognized South African university.
  • Applicants need to demonstrate a consistently strong academic performance.
  • Applicants must demonstrate their need for financial support.

What Does The E.V. Adams Scholarship Programme Cover?

This scholarship will provide a total of R50,000 towards a candidate’s studies. This is renewable annually depending on the student and their ability to maintain a 75% average score.

How To Apply

Make sure to include the following support documents required by Adams and Adams:

  • Certified copy of your ID
  • An updated CV
  • Grade 11 or 12 results (depending on the student) showing the maintenance of a B symbol or higher in English and a C symbol or higher for Mathematics since Grade 11.
  •  Updated academic results from your university (depending on the student) proving that you have maintained a higher than average academic score.
  • A motivational letter supporting why you should be chosen as an ideal candidate for this scholarship.
  • Acceptance letter or proof of registration.
