Investec is inviting applications for its bursary programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary aims to support academically talented and financially deserving South African students to pursue their first degrees in critical fields.

Investec is an international specialist banking and wealth management group. Through its bursary programme, the group invests in future leaders by offering financial assistance to high‑potential youth who lack the resources to attend university.
What is this bursary programme?
The Investec bursary is a full‑cost award that covers tuition fees and may contribute toward accommodation, books and other study‑related expenses. It is designed for Grade 12 learners and first‑year university students who demonstrate strong academic potential and financial need.
Who can apply
- Applicants must be South African citizens currently in Grade 12 or their first year of tertiary study.
- Candidates should achieve at least 60% for all subjects and a minimum of 70% for Mathematics and English.
- Selection is based on academic performance and proven financial need.
Eligible fields of study
Investec bursaries are awarded for the following degrees:
- Commerce disciplines, including Economics, Accounting, Finance and BCom Informatics
- BSc Computer Science and Information Technology
- Business Science and degrees combining Science and Mathematics
- Engineering (various disciplines)
- Commercial LLB
- MBChB (Medicine)
- Actuarial Science

Applications close on 30 September 2025.
How to apply
Eligible students must apply online via the Investec or StudyTrust bursary application portal. Applications should include a certified ID copy, the latest academic transcript and proof of household income. Early applications are encouraged.
