Mitchells Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust

The Mitchells Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust was established to help provide financial assistance to those living in the suburb of Mitchells Plain, Cape Town.

The Bursary is aimed at those boasting a strong academic record who are in need of financial assistance. The purpose of the Bursary is to improve the socio-economic conditions of the ‘Cape Flats’ area of Cape Town.

The Mitchells Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust was established to celebrate former Minister of Finance Trevor Manual’s successes as an ANC MP.

Trevor Manual discussed the need to educate the youth of Mitchells Plain to improve the material conditions of the community. Thereafter, Manual in conjunction with community leaders established the Bursary.
